About the beach
A small beach on the edge of the Ria de Aveiro, by the EN 327 road, with fine sand, calm lagoon water and muddy bottoms. It has a bar, a restaurant and parking, and pedal boats and canoes for hire in the bathing season; a small island appeals to children. The water was rated Good in 2025, but in July and August 2026 bathing was banned for over three weeks due to E. coli contamination.
