About the beach
An open-sea beach away from built-up areas, part of a sensitive natural system of high dunes and the pine forest of the Dunas de Ovar Forest Perimeter, which the access road crosses. The sand stretches a long way and there is open space for parking. Surf guides mention a sand-bottom break. In summer, coastal fog is common.
