Portal Turismo Portugal is not a search engine or a marketplace. It is an editorial guide built on three pillars, and that is the context in which a partner appears.
Verified editorial content about beaches, surf, fishing and coastal experiences. No clickbait, no disguised sponsored lists. Every page reflects editorial quality criteria that build audience trust.
Surf conditions, live webcams, tides, wind and water temperature. The portal is a decision tool, not just inspiration: tides from the Hydrographic Institute and forecasts from Open-Meteo.
We check each business's RNAAT registration (Turismo de Portugal) and its address or Google listing. Today 7 surf schools are listed, for free. Travellers talk to the business directly, with no middleman.

Editorial criteria and quality standards
The portal's credibility depends on the quality of the partners we feature. Selection is manual — we do not accept every application.
Real and verifiable business
Registration in Turismo de Portugal's RNAAT register, where the activity requires it, and an address or Google Maps listing. This is what the Verified badge confirms, and it is free.
Certifications and working contacts
The certifications the business states, such as the Portuguese Surfing Federation (FPS), and a working website, phone and social accounts.
Quality photographic material
Photos you hold the rights to (up to 4 on a Partner page), representative of the business and venue. The profile needs to show what the traveller will find.
A contact that replies
The direct button takes the traveller straight to you, with no middleman. We ask for an active contact, so no traveller is left without a reply.
Service relevant to coastal tourism
Surf, fishing, coastal accommodation, seaside dining, watersports or nature. Businesses without a direct link to coastal tourism are not eligible.
This list protects the user experience and, consequently, the value of each partner's presence on the portal.
