A rural beach with a wide stretch of sand and a large dune area, bounded by two groynes and divided by a jetty that encircles a chapel. It lies next to the Barrinha de Esmoriz, a protected coastal lagoon ringed by boardwalks. In the bathing season it has lifeguards, a bar, showers, toilets, parking and access for people with disabilities. The sea draws surfers and bodyboarders.
