About the beach

Also known as Pau da Manobra, it has a long stretch of sand and a large dune area at the southern end of Espinho's urban area, between two breakwaters that calm the sea. It is popular for surfing, with waves by the southern breakwater, and the breakwaters attract shore anglers. There is a bar, showers and toilets. Water quality is rated Good; from 10 to 14 July 2025, bathing was advised against because of microbiological contamination.
