About the beach
A very long sandy beach running from the end of the cycle path in the north to the mouth of the Ribeira do Prego in the south, backed by a broad dune system. It includes Bocamar beach. In the northern and central sections a line of rocks runs along the water's edge; the rock-free southern section is the most inviting for swimming. It has lifeguards during the bathing season and held the Blue Flag in 2025.
