About the beach
A sandy beach in Arcozelo, between Miramar and Granja, which began as a small fishing village and grew after the railway arrived in 1864. The sea has strong waves that draw surfers, and the rocky seabed, rich in marine life, is popular for spearfishing. It has lifeguards, sunshade hire, showers, parking, a bar and a restaurant, and is part of the Praia Acessível programme.
