About the beach

An urban beach in Gulpilhares, on Rua de Henrique Galvão, with a long stretch of sand, some rocky outcrops and an impressive dune system along its back. It lies south of Francemar and north of Miramar, looking towards the Senhor da Pedra chapel, which stands on a rock by the sea. It is part of the coast followed by the Linha Azul, the seafront footpath from Cabedelo to S. Félix da Marinha. Awarded the Blue Flag for 2026; water quality rated Excellent in 2025.
