About the beach
An urban beach in Gulpilhares, with a long, flat stretch of sand backed by dunes. It lies between Francelos to the north and Sãozinha to the south, on the stretch of coast followed by the Linha Azul, the seafront footpath that runs from Cabedelo to S. Félix da Marinha. It is one of Gaia's urban beaches awarded the Blue Flag for 2026, with a flag season from 15 June to 13 September, and water quality was rated Excellent in 2025.
