About the beach

Also known as Praia de Mira, Mar e Sol beach is in Arcozelo, by Avenida Gomes Guerra, between Miramar to the north and Aguda to the south. It is an urban beach with a long stretch of sand backed by a line of dunes. It is part of the coast followed by the Linha Azul, the seafront footpath from Cabedelo to S. Félix da Marinha. It was awarded the Blue Flag for 2026, with a flag season from 15 June to 13 September, and water quality was rated Excellent in 2025.
