Beach just south of the mouth of the River Mondego, beside the river channel and facing the town of Figueira da Foz, with a wide stretch of sand between protected dunes reached by wooden boardwalks. It is popular for surfing, bodyboarding and kitesurfing, with several schools, and for sea angling, and it hosts the Gliding Barnacles festival every year. The environment agency (APA) classes it as a busy beach linked to sensitive natural systems. The awarded zone is Cabedelo Sul: Blue Flag and Praia Acessível (accessible beach) in 2026.
