Figueira da Foz's town beach runs along Avenida 25 de Abril, the seafront road. The Relógio section, also known as Praia da Claridade, takes its name from the 20-metre Clock Tower, built between 1942 and 1947 on the promenade between the two stairways down to the sand. Wooden boardwalks lead to the water's edge. In 2026 this bathing water had three lifeguarded sections: Relógio, Alto do Viso and Molhe Norte. The town has a railway station with suburban trains to Coimbra.
