About the beach

Praia da Tocha is on the Cantanhede coastline, between Aveiro and Figueira da Foz, in a zone where the coastal pine forest comes very close to the sandy beach. Water quality is Excellent. It is a beach with a traditional coastal identity: long sandy beach, Atlantic swell, low dune vegetation and an atmosphere less urban than the higher-profile beaches of the region. Regular visitors who return year after year recognise its character — an unaffected Atlantic coast beach, with the pine forest always close.
