About the beach

A bathing area at the mouth of the Ribeira do Faial, with a small pebble beach sheltered by a breakwater, next to a basalt columnar-jointing formation. It has a large sun terrace, a saltwater children's pool, a playground, a restaurant, first aid and adapted toilets. It has a lifeguard and is part of the Accessible Beach programme.
