About the beach

A small natural cove at Biscoitos, on Terceira's north coast, beside Fonte das Pombas, a basalt rock peninsula with several tide pools of varying depth. The shore is made of recent basalt lava that breaks the swell, which comes mainly from the north-west. There is lifeguard cover and parking, and it was awarded a Blue Flag in 2025.
