Natural pools on Terceira's north coast, set among solidified lava rocks shaped by the sea, with concrete access and a bottom of basalt slabs and pebbles. With calm, clear water, they are popular with families. There is lifeguard cover, showers, a bar and parasol hire. It is also a listed surf spot and was awarded a Blue Flag in 2025.
