About the beach
A bathing area on Terceira's south-west coast, made up of several natural pools filled by seawater, beside a small harbour with concrete access. The bottom is basalt slab and exposure to the swell is high. There is lifeguard cover, parking and a bar, and it was awarded a Blue Flag in 2025.
