About the beach

A bathing area built on the quay and slipway of a former fishing port, about 1.5 km from the historic centre of Angra do Heroísmo, next to a hotel. There is no sand: bathing is in the open sea over a basalt-slab seabed, reached by steps or a ramp from two sun decks. It has toilets, changing rooms, showers, a bar and parking.
