About the beach
A bathing area on Terceira's south coast, in the bay where the Battle of Salga was fought in 1581. It has a concrete natural pool and open-sea bathing over a bottom of basalt slabs and pebbles. It has lifeguard cover, parking and a bar, and there is a campsite nearby. It was awarded a Blue Flag in 2025.
