About the beach

A bathing area on Terceira's east coast, with a concrete platform, a natural pool and a small stretch of sand with access to the sea; the bottom is sand and basalt rock. It has a sunbathing area, changing rooms, a bar, a restaurant and parking, and is equipped for people with reduced mobility, featuring on the 2026 Praia Acessível list. It is also a listed surf spot. It was awarded a Blue Flag in 2025.
