A small beach at Ribamar, north of Ericeira, internationally known for its waves and part of the Ericeira World Surfing Reserve. The swell is powerful and there are strong currents on the south side that make swimming dangerous. During the bathing season (13 June to 13 September) there is a lifeguard and parking, but no toilets, showers or beach bar. It is classed as a limited-use beach and the APA flags a risk of rockfalls from the cliffs. Water quality was rated Excellent in 2025.
