An urban beach in the centre of Ericeira, below the old town, also known as Praia da Ribeira. It is the fishing boats’ beach, by the slipway and the small harbour, between Praia do Algodio to the north and Praia da Baleia to the south. Ericeira has been a World Surfing Reserve since 2011. It is a lifeguarded bathing beach, with a 2026 bathing season from 13 June to 13 September. Water quality was rated Good in 2025.
