About the beach
A rural beach in Marinhas, very exposed and heavily eroded, with sand interspersed with numerous rocky outcrops and some pebbles; the nearby dunes are being destroyed by the sea. The Peralto stream flows out here and the landscape to the east is dominated by farmland, within the Litoral Norte Natural Park area. When the 2026 bathing-water order was published, lifeguard cover was not assured.
