Praia de Ofir

About the beach

Praia de Ofir sits on the northern bank of the mouth of the Cávado river, in Esposende, with high dunes, pine-covered dune land and a wild Atlantic character that contrasts with the more organised tourism of beaches to the south. Water quality is Excellent. The dunes of Ofir are among the most significant on the northern coastline — sand accumulations reaching considerable heights that have been subject to environmental protection efforts. It is a beach with a strong northern coastal identity: wind, sand, pine trees and the Atlantic asserting its scale.
