About the beach
A rural beach also known as Pedra Alta, with a narrow strip of sand, an eroding dune system and a series of groynes perpendicular to the shore, built after the storms of 1978/1979. It has a small artisanal fishing harbour and ends to the south at the Neiva river, which reaches the sea between dunes and pine woods. The parish's Seaweed Museum (Núcleo Museológico do Sargaço) can be visited.
