About the beach
A small sandy cove ringed by rocks north of Porto Covo, between Praia da Samoqueira and Praia do Cerro da Águia. The rocks shelter it from the open sea and, depending on the tide, natural pools form. There is a small car park and steps lead down. It lies within the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park; Sines council warns that Porto Covo's small beaches have no permanent lifeguard cover and that some are hard to reach. It is not an official bathing water: the water is not tested and there is no lifeguard.
