About the beach

A beach on the southern stretch of Costa da Caparica, between Praia do Rei and Praia da Sereia, on the continuous sand that runs down to Fonte da Telha. It is known for its bars and popular with young people; at low tide shallow pools form on the sand, which draw families with children. In the bathing season (1 June to 30 September 2026) it has lifeguards and a concession with sunshade hire, toilets, a restaurant-bar and parking. Almada council lists surfing, bodyboarding and stand-up paddleboarding. Water quality was rated Excellent in 2025.
