About the beach

Stretch of sand south of the town of Costa da Caparica whose name is said to come from a castle-shaped house visible from the road. It shares the same bathing water with neighbouring Praia da Rainha and Cabana do Pescador, on a seafront served by the Transpraia train and with parking. Turismo de Portugal describes Castelo and Rainha as more family-oriented beaches; Rainha holds a Blue Flag and the Praia Acessível 2026 award.
