About the beach

A Costa da Caparica beach between Praia do Castelo and Praia do Rei, on the continuous sand that runs from the town down to Fonte da Telha. Its beach facility is the Cabana do Pescador restaurant-bar, and it draws a mostly young crowd. In the bathing season (1 June to 30 September 2026) it has lifeguards and a concession with sunshade hire, toilets and parking. Almada council lists surfing, bodyboarding and stand-up paddleboarding among the activities. Water quality was rated Excellent in 2025.
