About the beach
Praia da Fuseta-Mar is the ocean side of the barrier island opposite Fuseta, at the eastern end of Ilha da Armona, inside the Ria Formosa Natural Park. It is a long stretch of golden sand backed by dunes, with a bathing frontage of about 745 metres. You get there by boat from the village quay, a crossing of roughly 10 minutes; in winter the service may not run, so check times first. By the island jetty there are bars and sunbeds for hire, and in the bathing season it has lifeguards and a 2026 Blue Flag. Water quality was rated Excellent in 2025.
