About the beach

Praia do Homem Nu takes up the western tip of Ilha de Tavira, between Praia do Barril and the Fuseta inlet, inside the Ria Formosa Natural Park. It is one of the official naturist beaches on the Portuguese Naturist Federation's list, though clothed visitors are welcome too. First get to Praia do Barril, on foot or on the little train across the lagoon from Pedras d'El Rei, then walk west along the sand. It is a wild beach with no facilities at all, so bring water, food and sun protection. It is not an official bathing water: the water is not tested and there is no lifeguard.
