About the beach
Beach on Tavira Island at the narrowest point of the sand barrier separating the Ria Formosa from the sea, about 50 metres wide. It can only be reached by boat, a crossing of about 5 minutes from the Santa Luzia quay. It is quieter than neighbouring Barril and Ilha de Tavira and has lifeguard cover, sunshade hire, showers, a bar and football and volleyball nets.
