About the beach

A beach on Ilha de Cabanas, a narrow barrier island in the Ria Formosa about 7 km long, opposite the fishing village of Cabanas de Tavira. Access is by boat from the jetty on the waterfront, a crossing of a few minutes; scheduled boats run from April to October. The dunes must be crossed on the boardwalks. It has a restaurant, toilets, beach services and lifeguards in the bathing season.
