About the beach

A golden-sand beach about 710 m long with low dunes and their typical flora, east of Manta Rota in the parish of Vila Nova de Cacela, within a Natura 2000 area. A wooden boardwalk of about 2 km, built in 2015, links Manta Rota with the Lota boardwalk and continues to the Álamo stream on the Castro Marim border. There is an adapted walkway onto the sand, an amphibious wheelchair and the Praia Acessível 2026 award. Jellyfish are likely in the water.
