About the beach
A beach on Ilha de Tavira, reached by a footbridge over the lagoon and then about 1 km on foot or by the small tourist train. The beach facilities occupy the houses of a former tuna-fishing station, next to a group of large anchors on the sand. The water is calm and mild in summer. It has restaurants, toilets, lifeguards in the bathing season, and is a designated accessible beach.
