Cordoama Beach lies on the Atlantic coast of Vila do Bispo municipality, within the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park. It is a wide beach that joins up with neighbouring Castelejo and Barriga at low tide, running on as one stretch of sand. It faces strong, regular waves that suit surfing and bodyboarding. There is a car park, a bar and a restaurant, and lifeguards are on duty in the bathing season. Summer sea temperatures average 19–21 °C.
