Beach guide

Supertubos, in Peniche, is known across the surfing world for its fast, powerful tubes, and the World Surf League rates it as one of Europe's premier beach breaks. On the official bathing-water list it appears as Medão-Supertubos. From 16 to 25 October 2026 it once again hosts the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal, a WSL Championship Tour event. Away from competition, it has a lifeguarded summer season, toilets and showers by the sand, and bathing-aid equipment for visitors with reduced mobility. The Supertubos MEO webcam lets you check the surf before you go.
