Beach on the long strand that runs north from the town of Peniche towards Baleal, next to Praia da Gambôa and close to Peniche de Cima. The environment agency (APA) describes a long stretch of white sand with dunes protected by wooden fencing, with views back to Peniche. It has changing facilities and a bar and, according to All About Portugal, is popular with families and young surfers; parking can be difficult. Access is from the Estrada do Baleal. Water quality rated Excellent in 2025; Blue Flag in 2026.
