A long beach on the north side of Peniche, along the isthmus that joins the town to Baleal, looking out to the Baleal peninsula. It is also used for surfing and bodyboarding. Outside summer the sea can be strong, so always check the flag. It is a lifeguarded bathing beach, with a 2026 bathing season from 1 June to 15 September. Water quality was rated Excellent in 2025.
