About the beach

A beach of more than 2 km between Armação de Pêra and Salgados, in open landscape bounded by the Alcantarilha salt marsh and the Lagoa dos Salgados, known for waterbird watching. The dune ridge reaches 300 m in width, with boardwalks and a bird hide. The western section has a restaurant, beach services and lifeguards in the bathing season, and is a designated accessible beach.
