About the beach

Bathing area on the right bank of the Alvoco stream, a tributary of the Alva, at Vasco Esteves de Baixo, inside the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. It has a small bar and toilets. The water was classified as poor ("Má") in 2025 and, when the 2026 bathing-water order was published, no lifeguard cover was in place, so check bathing advice locally.
