About the beach
Bathing area on the left bank of the River Alva, by the village of Vila Cova à Coelheira, on the edge of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. It has a picnic area shaded by birch trees, a bar, a playground, changing rooms and toilets, and a campsite downstream of the beach. Access is through the village, turning off at the junction by the cemetery.
