A river beach on the Caniça stream, a tributary of the Alva, at about 700 metres on the south-western slope of the Serra da Estrela, inside the Natural Park. It sits in mountain scenery with the Souto da Lapa chestnut grove and granite outcrops; the Caniça waterfalls are nearby. It holds the Blue Flag and the Accessible Beach award, with lifeguard cover, a bar and parking.
