About the beach
A river beach in Alcoutim, in a deep pool of the Cadavais stream near where it meets the Guadiana, surrounded by dense vegetation. The beach, with about 130 metres of shoreline, is made of sand brought from the coast, and the maximum depth is around 3 metres. It has lifeguard assistance, a first-aid post, a bar, free parking, a ramp and walkways on the sand, an amphibious wheelchair and adapted toilets; it has held the Praia Acessível award since 2005.
