About the beach
River beach on the shores of the Castelo de Bode reservoir, next to the village of Zaboeira, surrounded by pine-covered slopes. An artificial platform forms a floating pool and there is an area for small boats, making it popular for water sports. It has a lifeguard and the village has a restaurant. Between Zaboeira and Fernandaires there are several natural viewpoints over the reservoir.
