About the beach
Bathing area on a freshwater lagoon about 500 metres long, between the Mata do Urso and Mata do Pedrógão forests, north of the Pinhal de Leiria, surrounded by pines and eucalyptus. A wooden boardwalk runs along the whole western shore, and there is a sandy area, a picnic area and a bar. It is popular for sport fishing and canoeing.
