About the beach
A near-natural open-sea beach away from built-up areas, with a long stretch of fine white sand and, inland, dunes, pine forest, farmland and the Ria de Aveiro, within a Natura 2000 site. Fishing boats dot the sand. It has lifeguards, a first-aid post, showers, a bar and parking. The sea is energetic and popular for surfing; it has held the Blue Flag since 2007.
