About the beach

A wide beach a few kilometres south of Vagueira, between the lagoon and the ocean, sheltered by a long, high dune ridge. Access is via boardwalks over the dunes. It has a large car park, beach bars and lifeguard cover, and is popular with families looking for a quieter setting. In 2026 it flew the Blue Flag for the 19th consecutive year.
