The ocean-facing beach at Foz do Arelho, next to where the Óbidos Lagoon meets the sea; the beach on the lagoon side (Foz do Arelho-Lagoa) is a separate bathing water. It is a lifeguarded bathing beach: from 13 June to 13 September it has lifeguards, a first-aid post, toilets, showers, beach bars and parking. It holds a Blue Flag in 2026 and is part of the 2026 Accessible Beach programme, with an amphibious wheelchair. Water quality was rated Excellent in 2025.
