Also known as Praia do Vau, it lies on the southern shore of the Lagoa de Óbidos, next to the lagoon's mouth. The sand runs to the mouth and curves around a cliff, continuing about 1 km to the south. The open sea is rough while the lagoon is calm, except near the mouth at high tide, when strong currents form. It has lifeguards, parking, a bar and a restaurant, and is part of the Praia Acessível programme.
